You Don't Want to Miss the 2019 Annual Meeting

Come have a meal with your board members, your neighbors and your co-op employees on May 2 at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City. Yes, it’s time for our annual meeting.

So here’s the offer in a nutshell: you give us about three hours of your time,  and in return you’ll get:

  • A hot dog meal that helps support our award-winning American Cancer Society Relay for Life team
  • Conversations with your neighbors and co-op staff, energy efficiency and safety tips, and more
  • An opportunity to learn more about YOUR co-op and board of directors
  • Entertainment by talented students from Havelock High School's jazz band and chorus.
  • A chance to win a BIG prize, and
  • A gift to take home with you

What a deal! Come have supper with us and make a difference – to your cooperative and to your community.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the first 600 registered members will receive a bright and versatile magnetic clip LED light. All members who register will get a ticket for drawings at the close of the meeting. Those drawings include cash prizes, up to $1,000 in free electricity (for bills mailed July through December, 2019) and a pickup truck retired from the co-op's fleet.

Attendees can find out about our newest PrePay payment option, learn about energy efficiency and energy safety and the Carteret-Craven Electric Foundation and Operation RoundUP program.

The co-op’s Relay for Life team will host a free hotdog dinner served up by employee volunteers.

In addition to those activities, co-op members will learn about the organization's operation over the past year, plans for the future, and more.

The terms for directors from Districts 2, 5 and 8 expire this year. All three candidates were unopposed. They are: District 2 Director Ben Ball, District 5 Director Amy Lock and District 8 Director Thom Styron.
