All Snow Outages Cleared

Co-op crews have restored power from the Jan. 3-4 snow storm and experienced no additional outages overnight. The CCEC dispatch center reported that all outages were cleared by 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

"We want to thank our members for their patience and understanding during this event," said CCEC Communications Director Lisa Galizia. "A big shout out also goes to our employees, from the crews in the field to those answering phones, clearing our property, shuttling materials to the crews, providing food and generally keeping us up and running efficiently."

Most of the outages were caused by downed trees and limbs. Two circuit outages, one in western Carteret County and one in Havelock, affected the most co-op members. At the peak of the storm, the co-op reported upwards of 1,500 outages.
